One day of hunting |
we
are only be doing day hunts.
This a 1 day hunt. You will have to stay in one of the local hotels and I
will take you to meet the guide. The guides will let you shoot at least 3
gators a day (three gators less than 8 foot). However, if you shoot any
gator over 8 foot or with a bow you will be required to buy that gator. All
hunts will be out of an airboat due to Rita. The marsh really took a
beating, and we can not get around without the airboat, which cost
substantially more to operate than the outboards. There is a trophy fee
for each trophy you want to take home with you. If you have any questions,
feel free to call.
All deposits are non refundable. price is subject to change with
out notice
The cost of the hunt is $650 per day plus trophy fees. A $300 deposit is
required.
A MIN OF 2 HUNTERS REQUIRED.
Non hunters are charged $350 per day.
The cleaning fee is $10 a foot and the meat is at market price.( around
$6.50 to $7.50)
Trophy fees are $85 a foot for a gator up to 7 foot 11 7/8 inches.
Trophy fees are $110 a foot for a gator from 8 foot and up to 11 foot 11 7/8
inches.
Trophy fees are $4500 for 12 foot and up.
LICENSE: The cost of an alligator hunting license is $150 per person for
out of state, in state is $25. I can handle all the paperwork and obtain
your license ahead of time if you prefer.
SEASON: Alligator season runs from September 1 thru 30th.
EQUIPMENT: You will need a cooler for transporting your meat home. You will
need a large one if you are planning to use your taxidermist. You may also
want to bring a small pair of binoculars, a small flashlight, and any other
personal hunting equipment that you may require. We also would suggest you
bring a video camera or a still camera with extra film for the excellent
scenery.
FIREARMS: We use a .22 cal rifle. We will need to discuss this prior to your
arrival. This varies depending on the type of hunt.
APPAREL: For this hunt, we suggest waterproof boots, preferably knee-high, as
it is very possible we could get into some water. Your clothing should
consist of a long-sleeve shirt (mosquitoes), pants, and a hat. You may also
want to bring your rain gear.
NON-HUNTING GUESTS: We DO allow non-hunting guests along on the hunt, and
there are plenty of sights to be taken in by you and your guests. However, a
non-hunter takes the place of a hunter; therefore there is a charge of
$300 per day for each non-hunter.
SUCCESS RATE: We generally achieve a 100% success rate on a two-day hunt.
